JANESVILLE, Wis. (WTVO) — A Janesville man has been indicted by a federal grand jury over allegations that he bought guns for someone else.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Dashun Wheeler, Jr., 22, faces three counts of making a false statement on paperwork required to purchase firearms.

Federal authorities allege that on August 28th, 2024, September 23rd, 2024, and October 8th, 2024, Wheeler purchased handguns and said he was the buyer, but was actually purchasing the weapons for someone else.
