JANESVILLE, Wis. (WTVO) — A 29-year-old Janesville man faces federal charges of transporting a minor from North Carolina to Wisconsin for sexual purposes.
Adam Gurney was arrested in August after police received a tip from North Carolina authorities that he had traveled to the state to pick up a minor.
Authorities surveilled the suspect until they saw him enter a vehicle with the girl. Police took Gurney into custody soon after.
Gurney faces charges in Rock County of trafficking a child, child enticement, and having sexual intercourse with a child.
He now faces the additional federal charge from the U.S. Department of Justice.
