A Buffalo man has pleaded guilty to the gruesome cold case murders of two women.
And homicide detectives are now scouring their records to determine if there are any more possible victims.
Richard J. Fox, 62, copped to two counts of second-degree murder at a Friday hearing in Erie County Court before Judge Suzanne Maxwell Barnes. Cops say the known victims are Marquita Mull, 50, and Cassandra Watson, 40 .
Fox is slated to be sentenced in November and faces 40 years to life in prison.
“I hope that they (the victims’ families) can continue their journey towards healing with the knowledge that this defendant, who was not offered a reduced plea, will spend the rest of his life in prison for these crimes,” Erie County District Attorney Michael Keane said.
