GROVESPRING, Mo. (KY3) - A crash west of Grovespring Sunday night killed a 13-year-old from Grovespring and seriously injured a 14-year-old from Niangua.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the 16-year-old driver ran off Missouri M, his SUV overturned, ejecting both passengers.

The driver suffered minor injuries.

Troopers say no one was wearing a seat belt.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol doesn’t release the names of drivers or passengers involved in crashes.

This is Troop G’s 26th fatality for 2025 compared to 17 during the same time a year ago. Troop G is based in Willow Springs and serves 9 counties.
