A 78-year-old pedestrian was killed in Montreal on Sunday after being struck by a vehicle.

Montreal Police (SPVM) were called to the intersection of Saint-Charles Blvd. and the eastbound entrance to Highway 20 at around 7:55 a.m.

The victim was taken to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The SPVM is investigating the causes and circumstances that led to the tragedy.
