OLYMPIA, Wash. — The U.S. military revealed the identities Monday of the four servicemembers who died after a helicopter crashed during a training mission near Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM).

The crash occurred late on the night of Sept. 17 near Summit Lake, just outside of Olympia during "routine flight training," officials said. Deputies located the site of the crash on Wednesday night which is approximately 20 minutes west of Olympia and 30 minutes west of JBLM. However, they had to retreat because of a fire around the crash scene and were not able to make contact.

The four soldiers were identified as: Chief Warrant Officer Three Andrew Cully, 35, from Sparta, Missouri, Chief Warrant Officer Three Andrew Kraus, 39, from Sanibel, Florida, Sgt. Donavon Scott, 25, from Tacoma and Sgt.
