Some of Delaware’s best-paying jobs don’t require a college degree.

At the Port of Wilmington, many longshoremen make more than $100,000 a year, and with plans to build a new port, thousands of new jobs are on the horizon.

Job seekers will get a chance to explore those opportunities on Wednesday, Sept. 24, when Enstructure, the port’s operator, hosts a job and resource fair from 2 to 6 p.m. at Delaware Tech’s Wilmington campus, located at 300 Orange Street.

Employers slated to participate include Enstructure, local staffing agencies, state agencies such as DelDOT and DART, and federal agencies including Amtrak, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the U.S. Coast Guard.
