Florida football has learned its future three annual SEC opponents.

The Gators will regularly face Georgia, South Carolina and Kentucky, a source with knowledge of the schedule confirmed to USA TODAY Sports.

The announcement is a result of the conference opting to expand to a nine-league schedule back in August. The SEC has played an eight-game conference schedule since 1992.

The schedules were developed based on protecting rivalries, competitive fairness, rotational frequency and ensuring a balance of home-away with Power 4 non-conference opponents. The new model allows for matchups that have not been played regularly. For example, Auburn and Florida’s last matchup was back in 2019.
