COLDWATER, Kan. (KAKE) - The Comanche County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help as they investigate the shooting of a school board member's vehicle over the weekend. The sheriff's office says that around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, a vehicle that was parked outside a home in the 500 block of East Cottonwood in Coldwater was struck by gunfire approximately 10 times. No one was inside the vehicle at the time, and no one was injured. The sheriff's office says the vehicle belongs to a member of the USD 300 Board of Education. The KBI has responded to assist in the investigation. Detectives are asking for anyone to check home security systems for video of the incident.
