NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio (WOIO) - Firefighters said the cause of a large fire at a high-rise apartment building Sunday afternoon remains under investigation.

Several North Olmsted officials held a news conference at the Westbury Apartments on Brookpark Road Monday morning.

Flames broke out on the fifth floor of the building around 1:45 p.m. Sunday.

According to firefighters, all sprinklers and fire alarms worked as they were supposed to and there was no problem with water pressure.

Multiple people were evaluated by medics on-the-scene and three people, including a police officer, were transported to a local hospital with what officials said are non-life-threatening injuries.

Some residents are still not allowed back inside their homes due to fire, smoke and water damage.
