ROCKDALE, Texas (KBTX) - Despite starting the game with a double-digit lead, the Rockdale Tigers fell to the Giddings Buffaloes, 44-36 on Homecoming Night.

Why did Giddings win? Though the Buffaloes struggled starting off, Giddings leaned heavily on its rushing attack to wear down the Rockdale defense. The Tigers eventually loosened up, allowing 44 points in the final three quarters.

Standout performance: Rockdale quarterback Greyson Williams paced the Tigers’ offense and gave them a chance to make things interesting late. Alex Cooper stepped up with big plays at wide receiver, including a first-quarter touchdown.

What’s next? Rockdale travels to Groesbeck for its final non-district game.
