A tropical wave about midway between the Lesser Antilles and the Cabo Verde Islands has become more active, producing increasing showers and thunderstorms. Environmental conditions are forecast to turn more favorable by Tuesday, and a tropical depression is likely to form by the middle to latter part of this week.
