Matt Stone has put speculation to rest regarding the delayed release of a recent South Park episode, confirming it was simply a case of not meeting production deadlines rather than any form of censorship, Parade reports.

The episode, originally scheduled to air on Sept. 17 on Comedy Central and stream on Paramount+, was pushed back to Sept. 24. In an interview with the Denver Post on Sunday, Stone was straightforward about the cause.

“No one pulled the episode, no one censored us, and you know we’d say so if true,” Stone explained. “We just didn’t get it done. When you always cut it close, sometimes you mess up. That’s the price of being a procrastinator.”
