NORMAN — Oklahoma defensive end R Mason Thomas was named the Southeastern Conference defensive lineman of the week, and OU punter Grayson Miller was named SEC special teams player of the week on Monday.

Thomas had two sacks in the second half of the Sooners’ win over Auburn last Saturday, despite that he was suspended for the first half due to a targeting penalty he had picked up the week prior.

Thomas’s sack-safety on Auburn quarterback and former Sooner Jackson Arnold put the finishing touch on OU’s 24-17 win.

Miller, meanwhile, averaged 54.4 yards on five punts against Auburn, including a long of 66 yards, three kicks of 50-plus yards and one punt downed inside the 20-yard line.
