SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The second annual Rooster Roundup is taking place on October 2.

Founder of Team Buche Cares, RF Buche, joined Dakota News Now to tell us more about the Rooster Roundup.

“Team Buche Cares is A 501 (c) (3) nonprofit. We’ve got a fundraising event coming up on October 1 and 2, and this is a food fundraiser that is a hunt in Dallas, South Dakota. It’s gonna be a great time,” said Buche.

The event works to fight against food insecurity in both rural and tribal communities throughout South Dakota.

“With the funds that we raised last year, we were able to feed 100,000 people turkey in 121 different South Dakota communities, covering all nine reservations. It was right before Christmas,” said Buche.
