UCF college football coach Shawn Clark has died at the age of 50, a week after being rushed to the hospital earlier this month.

The college football program confirmed the death on Monday.

Clark suffered a medical emergency on Tuesday, September 9, and was rushed to the hospital.

The Knights' offensive line coach was in stable condition until his death on Sunday, UCF revealed.

The school did not disclose the specifics regarding his death.

Clark's wife, Jonelle, a Hall of Fame softball player at Eastern Kentucky, was alongside him at the time of his death.

He is also survived by their two children, daughter Giana and son Braxton.
