Detroit — Families of 11 children who reported that they were sexually assaulted by an Oakland County substitute teacher are suing the instructor, the district where he worked and the agency who employed him, alleging officials knew of past questionable behavior but didn't act.
Timothy Daugherty, 62, was found guilty in May by an Oakland County Circuit Court jury of six counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct related to three girls. He was sentenced to 10 to 15 years in prison.
