CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A murder suspect pleaded guilty Monday to shooting the father of six children twice in the head.

Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge Christopher McDowell sentenced Anthony Douglas, 38, to the maximum allowed, 14 to 19 years and 6 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter and having weapons under disability.

Douglas initially faced aggravated murder, murder and felonious assault charges after he gunned down Keith James on Glenridge Place in Avondale on the evening of Oct. 1, 2024.

James, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second gunshot to his head was at point-blank range, according to prosecutors.
