LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - After three years on the job, Robert Eads has officially stepped down as the executive director of the Boys and Girls Club of Laredo.

Eads sent this resignation letter to the board on September 13:

“Dear Board President Joey Tellez,

After much reflection, I have decided to step down from my position at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Laredo, effective Friday, September 26, 2025. I will be moving out of town to work in municipal government once more.

It has been a true privilege to be part of an organization that makes such a meaningful impact in the lives of young people. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside passionate colleagues who share a commitment to empowering our community’s youth.
