NORRISTOWN — An Upper Dublin Township man faces time in prison and registration as a sex offender on charges he possessed child pornography.

John C. Spangler, 45, of the 3200 block of Susquehanna Road, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 14 to 28 months in a state correctional facility after he pleaded guilty to a felony charge of possessing child pornography in connection with incidents that occurred between 2023 and 2024.

Judge Wendy G. Rothstein also ordered Spangler to complete four years of probation consecutive to his parole, meaning Spangler will be under court supervision for more than six years.

Additionally, Spangler faces a 15-year requirement to report his address to state police in order to comply with Pennsylvania’s Sexual Offender Registration and Notification Act
