What should be considered politically-motivated violence has become a hot topic since the assassination of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk on Sept. 10, and the swift terminations some faced over their public remarks about Kirk’s death.

Florida’s Attorney General believes one solution could be easier access to reporting “violent extremism” -- although AG James Uthmeier did not define what that extremism might look like.

Uthmeier and Commissioner of Education Anastasios Kamoutsas announced Monday the launch of the Combat Violent Extremism Portal.

The site will allow people to send in evidence, like screenshots or videos, if they see threats related to what they believe might be violent extremism.
