The NFC West has suffered perhaps more than its fair share of injuries to star players early this season. The latest is a massive blow to the Arizona Cardinals, as talented running back James Conner is now done for the season, just three days ahead of the TNF matchup with the Seattle Seahawks.
Conner took a brutal tackle to the right knee in the game against the San Francisco 49ers and bent over his ankle, causing what the team has called severe damage.
I’ve always liked Conner; on a team led by an unlikeable quarterback and little of interest at times, he’s been one of my favorites on Arizona.
He had also been a menace against the Seahawks in the past, so this is a noteworthy game-changer for Mike Macdonald and his short-week defensive prep.
