SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh announced that the City of Syracuse has reached an agreement with Clear Investment Group to remediate the Skyline Apartments for occupation.

The agreement, approved in the State Supreme Court, mandates Clear Investment Group to implement a comprehensive remediation plan for the 352-unit property, addressing issues such as asbestos and damage from a burst standpipe.

"Syracuse needs Clear to deliver on its promise to restore Skyline Apartments to a quality and affordable place to live," said Mayor Walsh.

The City of Syracuse had previously filed a lawsuit against Clear Investment Group for failing to fulfill a court-authorized rehabilitation plan and address ongoing code violations.
