A Miles City man was killed in a crash in Custer County Friday night on Interstate 94, according to a Montana Highway Patrol press release.
The driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee was driving eastbound on I-94 near Miles City when the vehicle crossed the center line and struck a bridge barrier, according to the press release.
The driver, 41, then overcorrected and ran off the roadway to the right and collided with a traffic post. The Jeep tripped and overturned, rolling multiple times. In the process, the driver was ejected. He was not wearing a seatbelt during the crash. First responders found him dead on arrival.
The vehicle ended up coming to rest on its roof in a ditch.
Speed and drugs were suspected in the crash. The interstate was dry during the incident.
