Iowa State football drops in AP Poll after bye week

AMES — Iowa State is ranked No. 14 in the week five AP Poll.

The Cyclones (4-0 overall, 1-0 Big 12) dropped two spots from No. 12 this week after a bye. ISU had risen in the AP Poll every week after victories against Kansas State , South Dakota , Iowa and Arkansas State .

No. 12 Texas Tech, after a win against Utah, jumped ISU as the Big 12's top-ranked team. There are four ranked Big 12 teams: No. 12 Texas Tech, No. 14 ISU, No. 24 TCU and No. 25 BYU.

Illinois dropped from No. 9 to No. 23 after a 63-10 loss to Indiana, which moved up from No. 19 to No. 11.
