Detroit City Council President Mary Sheffield refused to discuss details on Monday of a media report that she requested free concert tickets from Comerica Bank but maintained that she didn't violate any ethics policies for city officials.

Sheffield declined to say whether she accepted tickets from the financial institution for a September 12 concert for the performer Jeezy at the Fox Theatre. But her campaign spokesperson Brittni Brown said whatever Sheffield's actions, they didn't violate the ethics code in the city's charter.
