City officials announced the opening of a dedicated U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility at McKinney National Airport in September.
The facility aims to reduce turnaround times for international flights, and includes a private inspection space for secure and efficient passenger processing, according to a city news release. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers manage ports of entry at airports across the country, screening both foreign visitors and returning U.S. citizens, according to its website .
