Mayor LaToya Cantrell withdrew her request to a judge to allow her to vacation in Iceland for a week as her federal corruption case progresses in New Orleans.

On Friday, U.S. Magistrate Judge Karen Wells Roby ordered Cantrell's travel request denied as moot after she was notified of Cantrell's desire for withdrawal, court records show.

Her decision to withdraw her travel request followed "several telephone conferences with the parties," Wells Roby wrote in her order.

The request came after she was barred from traveling abroad while the case is ongoing, unless granted permission by the court.
