HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) – Authorities in Virginia are investigating after they said a deadly stabbing took place Friday night outside a music venue where the band Phish was playing.

The music group was performing at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton.

Police said one person was stabbed to death, and two other people were hurt in the attack.

Investigators said the stabbing began as an argument that escalated into a fight among several people.

One of two victims was rushed to a hospital, but did not survive.

The third victim showed up at the hospital later with less serious injuries.

Two of the people injured are expected to recover.
