The Boston Celtics’ first big move of a busy offseason was trading guard Jrue Holiday to the Portland Trail Blazers for a package that included fellow guard Anfernee Simons.
The move may have contributed to the Celtics earning what some have called the worst offseason in the NBA.
One assistant coach, however, bashed the Trail Blazers for the move in ESPN’s annual NBA offseason survey .
One of the questions in the survey asked, “What was the worst move of the offseason?” There were three respondents that picked Portland’s deal for Holiday.
“I just don’t get what they are trying to do,” a Western conference assistant said of the move. “You can’t get enough time for all of their guards.”
