PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A new state-funded affordable housing community held its grand opening in south Phoenix Monday morning.
Dahlia Village, the new community near 16th Street & Broadway in South Phoenix, brings 126 apartment homes for low-to-middle income individuals and families.
The Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) funded $20.4 million in federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, plus $8 million in additional financing, including investments from the State Housing Trust Fund, toward the project.
Dahlia Village includes 24 one-bedroom, 54 two-bedroom, 36 three-bedroom, and 12 four-bedroom homes, according to ADOH. The community offers amenities including a clubhouse, fitness center, playground and picnic area.
Each has walk-in closets, energy-efficient appliances, low-flow water
