TOWN OF POTOSI, Wis. (WKOW) — A Horicon man was killed over the weekend after crashing his motorcycle in Grant County.

It happened Saturday on County Highway U near South Boice Creek Road, according to a press release.

Ronald Walsh, 64, was riding his 2004 Harley-Davidson west when he veered off the road. Despite the rainy and foggy conditions, the reason for the crash remains unclear, according to the Grant County Sheriff's Office.

Walsh was thrown from his motorcycle and was not wearing a helmet, the sheriff's office reported. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Grant County Coroner due to the injuries suffered in the crash.

This crash marks the seventh motor vehicle fatality in Grant County this year.
