SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- A man from Kyle, South Dakota, has been sentenced to nearly six years for his involvement in a drug distribution conspiracy.

In a news release from the U.S. Department of Justice, Nathan Tobacco-Clifford, 49, was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty on April 23, 2025.

Tobacco-Clifford distributed meth in Pine Ridge and Rapid City. He and several others would travel to Greeley, Colorado, to obtain meth from codefendant Misty Hornbeck.

Tobacco-Clifford and other co-conspirators were caught in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, coming back from one of their trips. The codefendants admitted to selling meth to support their drug use.

Court documents say between 500 grams and 1.5 kilograms were distributed during the conspiracy.
