Witnesses called Saskatoon police on Friday night to report a fight underway between two men and another group in the parking lot of a business in the 900 block of 22nd Street.

When officers arrived around 10:15 p.m. CST, they found a 29-year-old man with multiple wounds, police said in a Monday news release. Witnesses reported that the second group, who fled the scene before officers arrived, were armed with a machete and bear spray.

People on their way into the business, Granada Liquor, on Monday morning pointed out red stains still visible on the ground.
