Mark Richt dropped by Georgia football coach Kirby Smart’s press conference to start Alabama game week to promote the third year of his bowling event to raise money to fight Parkinson’s Disease and Chron’s Disease.

After he and his 11-year old granddaughter Jadyn showed off some championship belts that will go to the top finishers of the Oct. 22 Chick-fil-A Dawg Bowl, the former Bulldog coach gave props to the current one.

“That was a helluva game vs. Tennessee,” Richt said Monday of Georgia’s overtime win on Sept. 13. “That was awesome.”

“You know how hard it is to play there,” Smart said.

Current Georgia players will again put on bowling shoes at Showtime Bowl at 555 Macon Hwy in Athens and help to raise money for UGA’s Isakson Center for Neurological Disease Research.
