The Allen County Coroner today said a 50-year-old Fort Wayne man was the victim of the fatal pedestrian-vehicle accident near the downtown U.S. Post Office.

Tyran Dwayne McMillian died from multiple blunt force injuries due to the crash and the manner of death was ruled an accident, a news release said.

The county has now had 34 people die in traffic accidents this year, the release said.

McMillian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of South Clinton and East Baker streets just before 5:50 p.m. Sunday. After first responders attempted life-saving measures at the scene, McMillian was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
