The San Francisco 49ers were able to outlast the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3, winning by a final score of 16-15 to improve to 3-0 on the young season. Unfortunately, they saw star pass rusher Nick Bosa go down with a knee injury.

While there was hope that Bosa had avoided a serious injury, that wasn't the case.

On Monday afternoon, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that Bosa has suffered a torn ACL and will undergo season-ending surgery to repair the injury.

"Tests today showed that 49ers Pro Bowl DE Nick Bosa suffered a season-ending torn ACL during Sunday's win over Arizona, sources tell ESPN," Schefter wrote on X. "It's a clean tear, but Bosa now will need season-ending surgery."
