The Sierra Club released an annual report on Monday grading utility companies’ efforts to provide affordable, clean energy to consumers around the country. The organization didn’t hold back its criticism of Arkansas utilities.

The report, called “The Dirty Truth,” looked at 75 utilities nationwide and gave their collective efforts to transition the grid to renewable energy a failing “F” grade. Specifically, the report authors looked at each utility company’s efforts to retire coal power plants by 2030, not build new natural gas plants through 2035, and build clean energy to service new electricity demand by 2035. Utilities making more progress toward those goals received higher grades.
