[CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa] — The murder trial for Dakota Van Patten resumed today in Linn County, focusing on evidence presented by investigators.

Van Patten is charged with the 2024 death of Melody Hoffman, who was found strangled and stabbed in Amana.
