BATAVIA — Jim Morrill Jr. put on a driving clinic at Batavia Downs on Friday (Sept. 19) night as he schooled his competition to the tune of seven winners and thrust himself into the dash driving lead for the current summer/fall Downs meeting.

The pride of Methuen, Massachusetts, Morrill won with Mucho Macho (1 minute 58.1 seconds, $2.92), Technical Wow (1 minute 57.4 seconds, $3.48), Platinum Proposal (1 minute 59 seconds, $2.30), Ponda spark (1 minute 56 seconds, $5.80), Lookatmyart (1 minute 55.3 seconds, $3.32), Ms titan (1 minute 57.4 seconds, $3.16) and Mcnatural L (1 minute 57.3 seconds, $4.32).
