KINGSTON, N.Y. — State and local officials decried the Trump administration’s shift away from fighting the effects of climate change during a kickoff celebration Monday of Climate Week.

More than three dozen elected officials and environmental leaders gathered at the Andretta Pool in the city to celebrate the certification or recertification of seven Hudson Valley communities as “silver” level climate-smart communities.
