CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - Illinois football officially has a kickoff time for its upcoming battle for the Cannon rivalry trophy versus Purdue.

University of Illinois Athletics Communications said in a press release that the Fighting Illini and Boilermakers will kick off at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, on the Big Ten Network.

Illinois defeated Purdue 50-49 in an overtime thriller last season in Champaign.

The #23 Fighting Illini look to get back into the win column against the USC Trojans at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gies Memorial Stadium.
