MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — A man has been arrested in connection with a road rage incident that happened on the U.S. 60 in Mesa Sunday night.

At around 8 p.m., Mesa police officers responded to the area of Stapley Road and U.S. 60 after receiving reports of a road rage incident involving a gun.

There, the victim told officers that while exiting U.S. 60 at Stapley Road, a white BMW cut him off. The man said he exchanged words with the other driver at a stoplight, who then pointed a green laser-equipped handgun at him before driving away.

With assistance from the Mesa Police Department’s Real Time Crime Center cameras, officers obtained video of the BMW, which provided a license plate number and direction of travel. Officers soon located the BMW re-entering U.S. 60 at Gilbert Road.
