GULFPORT, Fla. (Gray News) - A man in Florida allegedly struck a woman who was riding an “E-bike” and then drove nearly eight blocks" with her body on the windshield, according to authorities.
On Saturday night, 22-year-old Xavier Omar Rigby was driving a 2021 Nissan Altima at a high rate of speed. At the same time, 38-year-old Kjersten Aileen-Hermance Strang was riding her E-bike in the curb lane, a press release said.
Investigators say Rigby struck Strang, causing her to be ejected from her E-bike, landing on the windshield of the vehicle.
Rigby continued driving for approximately eight blocks before Strang was dislodged from the vehicle.
Rigby left the scene without calling 911 or waiting for police & fire rescue.
Strang was pronounced deceased on scene.
A short time later, Rigby
