A weather change is on the way to North Texas in the form of a cold front. Ahead of the front, Tuesday will still be hot and muggy with highs in the mid 90s and a heat index around 100.

The cold front will bring some thunderstorms to our area beginning Tuesday night and lasting into Wednesday morning. A few storms early on may be severe with strong winds and hail. The rain will move out of North Texas by Wednesday afternoon.

The cold front will also bring in a nice cool down. Highs Wednesday will be in the low 80s, with mid 80s Thursday and Friday. We’ll also notice a drop in the humidity.

Dry and seasonably warm weather is expected this weekend into next week.
