DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) -- Gambling machines and thousands of dollars were found during a raid at a gas station in southern Pike County.
The raid occurred at the Marathon Gas Station in the 7000 block of Highway 231 in Brundidge on Friday, September 19.
According to the Pike County Sheriff's Office, an investigation revealed the gas station had been selling scratch-off lottery tickets, operating coin pusher-style gambling machines, and promoting several electronic gambling games
A release from the PCSO said that one of the machines operated allowed players to insert bets before playing illegal games on their cell phones and then return to the store to collect any winnings from the machines.
