White House Spox Praises Trump For Saving Golf Match By Ending Railroad Strike

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt claimed Monday that President Donald Trump’s intervention in a labor dispute saved the historic Ryder Cup from being disrupted.
During her opening remarks at Monday’s briefing, Leavitt went over Trump’s schedule for the week. Included in the schedule was a trip to New York on Friday to watch the Ryder Cup — the 98-year-old golf competition that pits an American team against a European one.
In the weeks leading up to the Ryder Cup, there was a great deal of concern when it came to transportation to the event. Earlier in the month, several Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) unions voted to authorize a strike in the event of
