LaLonde, of Negaunee, who first came to the Upper Peninsula to attend Northern Michigan University more than 35 years ago, has held leadership roles in the United Auto Workers locals 2178 and 1950, advocated for libraries and workforce development initiatives and serves on several boards representing Marquette County.
