SHREVEPORT, La. -- At least one man was injured Monday afternoon during an exchange of gunfire on Illinois Avenue.

The shooting was reported just after 3 p.m. Almost a dozen Shreveport police units responded.

Officers found one man in his 20s wounded by the gunfire. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Another person involved in the gunfight had already left the scene before officers got there.

An area across from the New Zion Apartments to Curtis Lane was still blocked off an hour later.
