TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — U.S. Highway 30 is temporarily closed as emergency responders are at the scene of a crash at the Curry Junction railroad crossing.
Law enforcement has shut down the highway and is currently diverting traffic from the crash involving a blue pickup truck.
The crash destroyed both median crossing guards, sending debris all over both lanes of traffic.
Deputies were seen performing sobriety tests on a man along the side of the road before detaining him.
A tow truck is on scene recovering the damaged pickup, while the crossing guard arms are blocking the eastbound lanes.
Railroad workers on the scene said that the tracks are also shut down as they figure out how to clean the debris off them.
Deputies on scene are currently investigating the crash.
